			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Under the High Patronage of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, Talk Literary Agency in partnership with CSR Nest Association organizes the second edition of SINECTICO – The Bookmen Convention.<br />
The event is unique on the book market in Romania and will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, from 10 o&#8217;clock in the Media Room of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.</p>

<p><strong>SINECTICO</strong> – The Bookmen Convention, 2010</p>
<p>When: on April 23rd, <strong>The World Book and Copyright Day</strong></p>
<p>Where: Bucharest, Romania</p>
<p>Synectics: Idea-generating technique, similar to brainstorming, where the discussion is centered around a general idea that is related to a problem, rather than the problem itself.</p>
<p><strong>SINECTICO</strong> will have its first occurance on April 23rd.</p>
<p>Talk Partners is organizing the convention under the patronage of the <a href="http://www.cultura.ro/" target="_blank">Romanian Ministry of Culture and National Patrimonium</a>. The event will open on April 22nd at 1:00 pm, at the Ministry. We are honoured to have Mr. Kelemen Hunor – Minister for Culture and National Patrimonium as host speaker.</p>
<p>Other officials present: Mr. Vasile Timis – Secretary of State for MCPN, Mr. Ioan Matei – Head of Written Culture and Library Department, Poetess Ana Blandiana , Literary Critic Alex Stefanescu, Poet Dan Mircea Cipariu – President of Bucharest Writers’ Association &#8211; Poetry Department and Manager of AgentiadeCarte, Mr. Grigore Arsene – President of the Romanian Editors’ Association, Mr. Eugen Vasiliu – Deputy of the Romanian Office for Intellectual Rights.</p>

<li>13:00 – 15:00 “Opera Prima” Event. Students trained by Poet Dan Mircea Cipariu will read their literary works on the stage. Special guest – actor George Mihǎiţǎ, who will recite poems for them.</li>

<p><strong>SINECTICO</strong> long-term objectives:</p>
<ul>
<li>to revive the Romanian book market;</li>
<li>to help improve the relationship between publishers and booksellers;</li>
<li>to promote Romanian authors amongst the young public;</li>
<li>to create a stronger, more transparent liaison among publisher, booksellers and readers.</li>
<li>to promote the Romanian book illustration and the Romanian visual artists as opposed to foreign products.</li>
</ul>
<p>April 23<sup>rd</sup> is closely connected to great literary names such as Shakespeare, Cervantes, Nabokov. UNESCO named this particular day the World Book and Copyright Day. This great idea was quickly embraced by the Spanish, where booksellers offer flowers for each sold book on St George’s Day (April 23<sup>rd</sup>!!!). This helped tremendously at promoting the event.</p>
